Sleeping in a cave
With a clean stream running below it, a light breeze, no insects, it was one of the best overnights ever. I learnt that a plank of wood (borrowed from an illegal logging camp) after a three hour climb could be as comfortable as a mattress. And that the forest was perpetually noisy – screaming babies, burbling frogs but at the same time, very tranquil.
